German vintage Monopol wine corkscrew

German vintage Monopol wine corkscrew

This antique Monopol corkscrew was found at a flea market in France. We love them to use in a bar area, simply as decor, or put it in a shadowbox on your gallery wall

The history of the Monopol corkscrew dates back to the invention by patentee Karl Wenkel in 1881. His invention, which he called the "Pilgrim's Grove," became the ancestor of the modern corkscrew. This corkscrew was equipped with a special screw that made it easy to remove the cork from the bottle.

Later, Monopol began to manufacture corkscrews from durable steel and handcraft them, giving them an elegant design. Monopol corkscrews are famous for their durability and high quality materials used in their production.
