About the brand: Poterie Renault pottery has a timeless allure. In 1846, Poterie Renault's workshop was opened on the grounds of an old castle in the Loire Valley, France. Made from local grey clay and finished by hand, it was his salting technique that produced a glossy, textured finish that made the pieces iconic. For 5 generations the family run company used the same sea salt and kiln to craft these classic kitchen staples found all over France. These are no longer in production, which makes finding one even more special.
